Temporary employment
Positive People Placement has had more than a decade of temporary
employment experience. We find appropriate workers for our clients…for ˝
day*, daily, 1 week, 1 month or longer assignments. We deliver the
workers to our clients and take care of all the details. We assume
responsibility for all payroll costs, including EI, CPP, holiday and
statutory pay, and WCB premiums.
Our competitive advantage is our responsiveness! Our extensive employee
database allows us to place workers even with last minute, same day
notice if necessary!
We have competitive rates and can supply our clients with a wide variety
of different skill types.
* Please note we have a 4 hour minimum.
Permanent
Recruitment
Collectively, our team has extensive experience in recruiting, human
resources, and career development ranging from general labour to middle
and senior management. With our permanent recruitment assignments, we go
above and beyond to find the right candidate for our clients.
As part of our service, we will develop a job description, devise job
advertisements, screen resumes, and interview the top candidates. We
have an extensive database of local workers and have access to job banks
across the country.
Entry Level
Recruitment
For permanent positions paying $27,000 or less per annum, we will find
entry-level candidates for a reasonable, one-time placement fee. We
will interview and qualify the top candidates and introduce them to our
clients.
Full Search Senior Recruitment
For permanent positions that will pay more than $27,000 per
annum, we charge a % of the first year's expected salary. This includes
a three month guarantee that the candidate will stay in their role and
perform satisfactorily. If the candidate does not remain in their role
for any reason, the client will be entitled to a 50% credit toward a
subsequent search.
Temp-to-Hire Option
This is one of our most popular options. We recruit and
screen appropriate candidates for our clients, but retain the workers on
PPP’s payroll. This gives the client the ability to test out candidates
prior to making them a permanent job offer. At any time, the client may
choose to offer them a permanent position at which point a placement fee
would apply. If the client chooses to keep the employee on PPP’s payroll
for more than three months (480 hours), we will waive the placement fee.
Advertisement &
Pre-screening Service
We will create and place an effective third party ad. All enquiries /
ad responses come directly to us and we acknowledge receipt of all
applications, grade resumes as per our client’s specifications, provide
a summary report, and access to all resumes. Interviews and reference
checks available for a small additional fee.
Payroll Services
Positive People Placement offers a variety of options for payroll. We
can take care of weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll. We can bring our
expertise, responsiveness, flexibility, and our personalized approach to
our client’s payroll processes. Our philosophy is – you take care of
your core business and we’ll take care of your HR and your payroll.
HR Consulting
Our owner, Nancy Blair, has had extensive experience in strategic
management consulting. She has worked with clients in Canada, US,
England, and South Africa. Her area of specialization is organizational
effectiveness and strategic workshop facilitation.
