GENERAL TASKS:
-Lay and align bricks, blocks to build structures
-Apply and smooth mortar or other mixture over work surface and remove excess, using trowel and hand tools.
-Examine brickwork to ensure work quality.
-Measure distance from reference points and mark guidelines to lay out work, using plumb bobs and levels.
-Calculate angles and courses and determine vertical and horizontal alignment
-Mix specified amount of sand, clay, dirt, or mortar powder with water to form refractory mixture.
-Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, torch, or cement.
-Break and cuts bricks, and blocks to size, using edge of trowel, hammer, or power saw.
-Clean working surface to remove scale, dust, or chips of brick and mortar, using broom, wire brush, or scraper.
-Remove damaged brick or mortar, using sledgehammer, crowbar, chisel, etc.
-Spray or spread refractory material over brickwork to protect against deterioration.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have at least two years experience.
-Must be capable of quality work with little training or supervision. -No accomodation provided so distance applicants must have their own arrangements in place and must have a clear idea of arrival date. Explain these details when you submit your information or you will not be considered.
