History

Did you know that Positive People Placement Inc. (PPP) has been an established company since 1988? During this time, the company grew from a small Permanent Recruitment Agency into a major Full-Service Employment Agency.

Annually, PPP staffs hundreds of employees in various positions throughout Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Harvie Heights, Exshaw, Kananaskis and beyond. Many significant events have occurred since 1988; here is a condensed history of PPP:

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS IN PPP'S HISTORY

1988 - PPP is established by Jim Ridley. It operates in Medicine Hat, mostly as a permanent recruitment agency.
1989 - 1990 - PPP wins the Best Employment Classification Advertising Award.
1996 - Jim moves the company, along with his family, to Canmore.
2002 - PPP reaches $1,000 000.00 in sales!
2003 - Jim purchases High Country Office Services (HCOS)
March 2004 - PPP becomes fully operational from its Main St. offices
November 2004 - Nancy Blair becomes the new owner of PPP and HCOS while Jim retires from the business.
March 2005 - PPP embraces the One - Tonne Challenge

April 2005 - PPP expands to better serve the Hospitality and Tourism Industry by hiring Paul Zilligen to be the new Manager, Tourism & Hospitality
December 2005 - PPP proudly achieves a Certificate of Recognition from Alberta Human Resources & Employment and the Alberta Construction Safety Association for its dedication to safe work practices.
April 2006 - PPP moves its office to a sunny new location 202-802 Main St.
February 2007 - Lesley Barkhouse is hired as the Operation Manager of PPP.
April 2007 - A satellite office is opened in Banff at the Bear St. Mall.
May 2007 - Paul Zilligen is promoted to General Manager and together with Shannon Birnie, Business Manager, they take over the management of PPP.
August 2007 - PPP is awarded with a Work Safe Alberta Best Safety Performer Award.
December 2008 - Aleks Zablotni-Schantz is hired as PPP’s new Business Manager.
December 2009 - PPP successfully completes another comprehensive annual ACSA safety audit and enters into our 5th year of being a COR certified company.
