History
Did you know that
Positive People Placement Inc. (PPP) has been an
established company for over 17 years? During
this time, the company grew from a small
Permanent Recruitment Agency into a
major Full-Service Employment Agency.
In 2004 alone, we staffed over 750 workers in
various positions in Canmore, Banff, Lake
Louise, Harvie Heights, Exshaw and Kananaskis.
Many significant events have occurred over the
past 17 years. Here is a condensed history of
PPP:
SIGNIFICANT EVENTS IN PPP'S HISTORY
- 1988 - PPP is established by Jim
Ridley. It operates in Medicine Hat, mostly as a permanent
recruitment agency.
- 1989 - 1990 - PPP wins the Best
Employment Classification Advertising Award.
- 1996 - Jim moves the company, along
with his family, to Canmore.
- 2002 - PPP reaches $1,000 000.00 in
sales!
- 2003 - Jim purchases High Country
Office Services (HCOS)
- January 2004 - Evan Truman is appointed
as General Manager of PPP
- March 2004 - PPP becomes fully
operational from its Main St. offices
- November 2004 - Nancy Blair and Lutz Goedde become the new owners of PPP and HCOS while Jim retires.
- March 2005 - PPP embraces the One - Tonne Challenge

- April 2005 - PPP expands to better serve the Hospitality and Tourism
Industry by hiring Paul Zilligen to be our new Manager, Tourism &
Hospitality
- December 2005
- PPP proudly achieves a Certificate of Recognition from Alberta
Human Resources & Employment and the Alberta Construction Safety
Association for its dedication to safe work practices.
- April 2006 -
PPP moves
its office to a sunny new location 202-802 Main St.
- May 2007 -
Paul Zilligen is General Manager, Shannon Birnie is the Business
Manager. Together they take over the management of PPP.
